I recently became a member (3965) and would like to add my Nomad photo to the website. I own 2 Nomads, a 1955 body # CL 7 and a 1957 body # CL 397. The 1957 nomad is nearly complete mostly original power steering and power brake car it is an older restoration but still looks pretty good. I also have a 1955 Nomad which we purchased back in the mid 80's with a bit of history. There was an article printed Nov. 1985 in the Nomad news, by Nelson Aregood, stating that this was the oldest nomad in existence body # CL 7. I'm not sure if this holds true today but the nice thing about it is that the car was hand built and equipped with just about every option available because the first Nomads were used for promotion. One of the things I am not sure of is the actual build date, don't know if the first production nomads were built earlier in the year prior to them being built on the assembly line. The 1955 Nomad is going through a ground up restoration after being in dry storage for about 25 years, this car will be built as a numbers matching car using mostly all of it's original parts.
